Taking the Patreon Leap:
A New Chapter in My Game Design

Right now, I don't know many of you, and that's something I want to change. It feels a bit one-sided, and I'd love to build a community with people who share my passion for board game design. But even more importantly, I want to figure out if redesigning games is something people value enough to support. It's a leap for me, and knowing your thoughts would be incredible.

Before this, you could download all my files for free. It was great to share my work, but it also created a disconnect. I had no way of gauging who was using my designs. This shift to Patreon is a chance for me to redouble my efforts and truly focus on this design journey. Right now, the way I work on a new project is a bit sporadic – I start something when inspiration strikes. I want to be more dedicated here, and carve out more consistency with these reimagined games.

So, who am I?
A lifelong gamer who happens to be a graphic designer. Games have always been a source of joy for me: the mental challenge, the thrill of strategy, and the chance to connect with friends. Several years ago, I discovered that redesigning games was incredibly fulfilling. It started with a random urge to improve the artwork for Hanabi, and it just snowballed from there. Now I’m totally hooked on the process.

What I provide you!

All my printable game files: Print and play with these one-of-a-kind designs.

A peek behind the curtain: See my design process unfold, from brainstorm to finished product.

Direct access to me: Your feedback is gold! Help shape future games (which game should I tackle next? What's a great re-theme idea?).

Early access to new designs: Be the first to playtest my latest creations! (Goal: one game per quarter!)

(Future perk!) Custom laser-cut boxes for the games I make??

My gratitude. All of this is a little scary, and I truly am grateful to anyone who has the ability to support this pursuit in anyway.

Who are you?

Fellow game enthusiasts, people who see the value in creative pursuits. Maybe you're a DIY whiz who wants to tackle one of my designs. Perhaps you're curious about the process and want a behind-the-scenes look. Whatever your reason, I'd love to have you involved.

This whole thing is a work in progress, and I'd love for you to be a part of it. Let's build something cool together!

Luke Weisman

I'm a board gamer by night and a graphic designer by day. I'm happiest when I have the opportunity to merge these two worlds together. I love the mental push of problem-solving during a board game and love it even more when I can experience it on a beautifully designed board.

With my background in design, I work with board game creators on their graphic design needs, and love to selfishly redesign games from scratch.
